ANSONIA – Here are some highlights from the Ansonia Police Department’s calls for service from April 14, 2025 through April 20, 2025.

It is a partial list of calls, curated by The Valley Indy. The goal is to give the public a head’s up on what’s happening in the community.

8:16 a.m. A caller on Rockwood Avenue reported destruction/vandalism.

12:27 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Pershing Drive.

4:09 p.m. Police responded to a report of larceny on Woodlawn Avenue.

4:57 p.m. A caller on Beaver Street reported harassment over the phone or another electronic device.

2:00 a.m. Police were called to Benz Street in response to a motor vehicle accident with injuries.

3:20 a.m. Police were notified of an incident of intimidation.

10:38 a.m. A caller reported hazardous road conditions on Main Street and Maple Street.

12:55 p.m. A caller on May Street dialed 911 but hung up.

7:56 p.m. A caller reported illegal parking near the intersection of Alcott Street and Meadow Street.

8:14 a.m. A caller on Hubbell Avenue reported harassment over the phone or another electronic device.

8:39 a.m. Police received a ‘lost and found’ call from Holbrook Street.

1:30 p.m. Police arrested a 33-year-old Bridgeport man and charged him with disseminating revenge porn and violating a restraining order.

4:40 p.m. A caller on Meadow Street reported a stolen motor vehicle.

7:46 p.m. Police conducted a traffic stop on Wakelee Avenue.

7:48 a.m. A caller lodged a wildlife complaint on Hull Street.

8:38 a.m. Police were called for a prisoner transport.

12:50 p.m. Police arrested a 28-year-old man from Mount Vernon, NY, and charged him with identity theft, criminal impersonation, three counts of forgery, and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.

1:42 p.m. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Main Street.

4:09 p.m. A caller on Division Street/Main Street reported a shoplifting incident.

7:51 a.m. A caller on Hodge Avenue reported a stolen motor vehicle.

3:44 p.m. Police conducted a traffic stop on E. Main Street.

5:28 p.m. Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Schumacher Drive. They arrested a 35-year-old Ansonia man and charged him with driving under the influence, failure to drive in the proper lane, and operating an electronic device while driving.

8:47 p.m. A caller on Wakelee Avenue reported a car fire or dumpster fire.

12:27 p.m. Police arrested a 24-year-old Naugatuck man on a warrant and charged him with second-degree larceny and four counts of disseminating revenge porn.

7:28 p.m. Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Main Street. They arrested a 35-year-old Ansonia woman and charged her with third-degree assault, possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of risk of injury to a child.

9:12 p.m. A caller on Fourth Street reported an incident of disorderly conduct.
