OXFORD – Oxford Main Street Project Corporation (OMSP Corp.), Art Club of Oxford/Ready to Exhale, and its partners are planning a Nature and Arts Festival on Sunday, June, 8, 2025 at the Little River Nature Preserve and along the Oxford Walkway. The corporate sponsor for this event is Bushi Ban Martial Arts.

Little River Nature Preserve is open to the public now with trails to be enjoyed. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9AM, when the festival officially starts. The ribbon cutting ceremony will officially recognize the opening of the preserve. Along with the ribbon cutting, Nature and Arts vendors will be lined up within the preserve and along the Oxford Walkway. Come and enjoy many area artists.

The day’s events include a guided hike at 9:30. At 11:00, Blue Moon Raptors will be providing a demonstration of four different raptors. At noon and throughout the day there will be activities for kids to enjoy. At 1:00 a silent online auction will conclude, after which winners will be notified and be able to pick up their winning items.

Hiking and enjoying nature have become a widespread activity since the pandemic. Little River Nature Preserve in Oxford provides a chance for residents and visitors to enjoy nature right in the center of Oxford. Hiking trails and boardwalks have been constructed. Native plants and gardens have been planted along with several donated bird houses. Plans to try to restore the grounds back to pre-flood conditions are planned where possible.
