ANSONIA/DERBY – The Valley Rough Riders have won their first state little league baseball title — and they’re looking for the public’s help to play for a shot at the Little League World Series.
The team is hoping to fundraise $9,000 by next week. Click here to make a donation.
You can also support the team by attending a ziti dinner night on Monday (July 14). The dinner is 5 – 8 p.m. at St. Sebastian Club (86 Father Salemi Dr.), Ansonia. Admission is $10 and there will be a raffle.

“Support the Valley Rough Riders: Help Send Our Champions to the Little League Senior Northeast Regional Tournament!
The Ansonia/Derby team has made history by winning their very first state title — an incredible achievement for our Valley Rough Riders! Now, this talented team has earned the extraordinary honor to live their dream and compete in the Northeast Regional Tournament next week in Bangor, Maine.
With only 5 short days to fundraise, we are reaching out to our community for support to help offset travel and related expenses for these hardworking young athletes. This team has the chance to represent Connecticut and the Valley on a national stage — playing for a shot at the Little League World Series.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings these kids one step closer to their dreams. Please consider making a contribution to help send the Valley Rough Riders to Bangor and cheer them on as they aim for baseball glory”
