She was the devoted wife of 56 years to the late Howard J. Stockmal. Elizabeth was born in Ansonia on May 12, 1927, daughter of the late Martin and Elizabeth (Paradine) Tynan.

She was raised in Ansonia and attended Assumption Elementary School and Ansonia High School. She lived for many years in Shelton before moving to Seymour in 1993, returning to Shelton in 2009. She loved traveling and always brought each family member a trinket from her travels. She was an active member of St.Joseph Church in Shelton, CT and St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church in Hilton Head Island, SC, serving as a Eucharistic Minister in both churches. She had a very strong faith in God and was a faithful and loyal servant. Elizabeth volunteered many hours to the church and to St. Joseph School, serving on many committees, her favorite of which was volunteering at the yearly carnival. She also loved volunteering for the Heritage PGA Golf Tournament in Hilton Head Island. Elizabeth will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
