Dolores “Del” Pagano, age 88, a longtime resident of Connecticut and Florida, peacefully entered eternal rest on August 18, 2025, at Ludlowe Health Center in Fairfield, CT.
Born in Derby on September 12, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Rose (Ezzo) Pagano. Del was raised in Ansonia and graduated from Ansonia High School in 1954. She was employed as an exemplary sales representative for Nabisco Kraft Heinz for many years until her retirement. Post retirement, Del moved to Florida where she enjoyed the beautiful weather and visits from numerous friends and family.
She loved to entertain for holidays and hosted many backyard gatherings. Her most special times were spent with her loving granddaughters Diana, Amanda, and Melissa. She liked playing golf and even taught her friend of thirty-four years, Pat Black, to play the sport so they could enjoy outings together. Her favorite time of year was UCONN women’s basketball season where Del was always hosting parties for her friends and family. She even attended the 2008 Final Four in Tampa with Serge and Pat.
Del leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Serge Toni (Chris) of Bridgeport and Darryl Toni (Mary) of Clinton, granddaughters, Diana Toni of Branford, Amanda Toni of Wallingford and Melissa Toni of Vermont, her friend Pat and dog Bella, who both reside in Clinton. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Ludlowe, second floor Constellation, for their compassionate and knowledgeable care of Del.
We thank you Mom, Grammy, and Friend for the many gifts of love and joy you have given all of us.Prior to Del being laid to rest with her parents in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby, there will be a private funeral Mass.
