DERBY — The following information was sent by Derby Public Schools Aug. 26:
We have tried to communicate information about uniforms, but it appears that many are missing the information.
Please take the time to review this email carefully:
#1 – All uniforms ordered before August 10th are ready for pick-up. Please go to CITY STITCHERS at 101 Elizabeth Street. They are open between 10 AM and 5:30 PM. Monday thru Friday. Orders placed after August 10th will begin to be ready after the Labor Day Holiday. Those too should be picked up at City Stitchers.
#2 – Due to the number of parents who waited to place orders, as well as the large number of parents wanting to exchange sizes, City Stitchers is running behind by about 3 days, so please be patient. They are working as fast as they can.
.#3 – Please do your best to pick up your uniform order in a timely manner and City Stitchers will do their best to accommodate you. If they cannot accommodate you on-the-spot with exchanges, they will order the replacement sizes for you.
#4 – If your student is not able to have their uniform in hand for the start of school next week, please send them in the uniform pants/shorts/skirt and a nice top until their uniform order comes in.
#5 – All Uniform orders must be placed by September 15th so that on October 1st we do not have any students missing a uniform unless they have just moved to Derby.
#6 – ALL UNIFORM SHIRTS MUST be ordered from the Red Raider Uniform Shop www.derbypride.org/school-uniforms. This is the policy as set forth by our Board of Education. Please do not bring any shirts that you purchased on your own to the people at City Stitchers and expect them to add the logo. They are not authorized to do so.
#7 – Uniform Pants or Shorts or Skirts must be khaki style in beige or black. No denim, No cargo pants. No navy blue.
#8 – Any questions regarding the above may be addressed to uniforms@derbyps.org
See everyone next week!!
