Eileen Cecelia (Sweet) Mazerolle, age 83, a resident of Ansonia for fifty years, entered eternal rest on August 30, 2025, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife of sixty years to the late Louis A. “Junior” Mazerolle Jr.

Born in Lowell, MA on February 18, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Leslie G. and Florence Lindley Sweet. Eileen was employed as a retail clerk for the former Caldor Department Store in Derby and later at the former Walmart in Derby, until her retirement. Family was Eileen’s greatest joy and her most treasured moments were spent making memories together. She was very talented and loved crafting, ceramics, and painting bird houses.

She also enjoyed traveling frequently with friends and family. Eileen will be deeply missed but will remain in our hearts forever.

Eileen leaves to cherish her memory, her loving son, Randy S. Mazerolle and his wife Stephanie of Jacksonville, FL and she was a cherished Memere to grandchildren, Madison B. Mazerolle, and Jared S. Mazerolle both of Jacksonville, FL along with several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Rodney J. Mazerolle and sisters, Patricia Puza, Jackie Adams, Pauline Hughes, and Gerry Licata.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.

On Saturday morning her funeral will begin at 8:15 am from the funeral home then proceed to the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am. Interment will immediately follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Harvester Road in Easton.
