SEYMOUR – Here are some highlights from the Seymour Police Department’s calls for service from Sept. 29, 2025 through Oct. 5, 2025.

Seymour police received 267 calls for service and made four arrests.

SEPT. 29, 2025

12:30 a.m. Police charged a 41-year-old Glastonbury woman with interfering and resisting an officer and disorderly conduct.

4:13 a.m. Police assisted with a disabled motor vehicle on Bank Street.

12:34 p.m. A caller told police a large tree stump was in the middle of the road on Laurel Lane. An officer removed the tree stump.

2:22 p.m. Police were called to a medical emergency on Bank Street.

3:57 p.m. An employee from a company in the Silvermine Industrial Park told police four young people were riding bikes on their property and they did not want them there. Police said the kids were gone upon their arrival.

6:06 p.m. Police responded to a report of an ice cream truck with mechanical difficulties.

SEPT. 30, 2025

12:20 p.m. Police charged a 24-year-old New Milford woman with risk of injury to a child, second-degree harassment, obscenity and dissemination of an intimate image.

3:38 p.m. Police conducted school bus stop sign enforcement at Maple and Union streets. No violations were reported.

3:43 p.m. Police set up radar enforcement on Great Hill Road.

5:04 p.m. A caller reported that someone was driving erratically on Bank Street and turned onto Martha Street. Police were unable to locate the driver.

9:05 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the McDonald’s parking lot on Bank Street.

11:46 p.m. Police issued a verbal warning to a driver on Franklin Street.

OCT. 1, 2025  

6 a.m. Police charged an 18-year-old Seymour woman with third-degree criminal trespass.

8:19 a.m. Police responded to a medical emergency at Seymour High School for a report of a student who broke his leg.

9:50 a.m. Police received a walk-in complaint from an individual who said they were being harassed on social media by an ex-employee.

10:21 a.m. Ansonia police requested use of Seymour’s canine unit for a narcotics search.

OCT. 2, 2025

3:18 a.m. A Colony Street Extension resident told police a black Suburban pulled up in front of her house and two men were attempting to break into her garage. Police said they found a woman’s purse in the roadway a few minutes later.

8:20 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a two-car motor vehicle accident on New Haven Road (Route 67).

8:56 a.m. A Patton Avenue resident told police someone stole his wallet and other contents from his vehicle.

9:58 a.m. A Seymour Avenue resident lodged a noise complaint about a barking dog.

10:36 a.m. Police issued an infraction to a driver on Bank Street.

11:56 a.m. A Woodside Avenue resident told police an Apple watch and air pods were delivered to her front porch, and a few minutes later, they were stolen.

7:39 p.m. Police charged a 38-year-old Seymour woman with risk of injury to a child and disorderly conduct.

OCT. 3, 2025

8:20 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a two-car motor vehicle accident in the Seybridge Plaza on New Haven Road (Route 67).

9:16 a.m. Police conducted radar enforcement on Mountain Road.

11:09 a.m. An Ajello’s Farm Road resident told police a bobcat that appeared injured was in the neighborhood. Police were unable to locate the bobcat.

5:24 p.m. A manager from Ocean State Job Lot told police several teens were making loud noise in the parking lot. An officer spoke with the teens who left the parking lot without any issues.

10:28 p.m. A Dogwood Drive resident told police a rottweiler and a pit bull were barking non-stop for two hours and their owners would not bring the dogs inside.

OCT. 4, 2025

2:57 a.m. Police investigated a man wearing a head lamp outside of the Subway restaurant on Bank Street. The owner of Subway told police he was pulling weeds alongside the road ahead of the Seymour Pink 5k race.

4:24 a.m. Police were sent to McDonald’s on Bank Street for a burglar alarm activation. The alarm was false and deactivated by an employee.

7:26 a.m. A Cherry Street resident told police his ex-girlfriend borrowed $700 from him, and he wants to get it back.

4:16 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident near the Exit 22 ramp on Route 8.

OCT. 5, 2025

12:09 a.m. A Shelton Street resident told police a man was screaming profanity in the road. Police said the man was gone upon their arrival.

12:30 a.m. A Roosevelt Drive resident told police a neighbor was having a party and said the music was unreasonably loud. An officer asked the resident to lower the music.

6:44 a.m. A Cherry Street resident told police his ex-girlfriend won’t stop contacting him.

12:13 p.m. Police conducted radar enforcement on Old Ansonia Road for about 20 minutes. No violations were reported.

4:09 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a two-car motor vehicle accident in the Henny Penny parking lot on New Haven Road (Route 67).

6:40 p.m. A caller told police a man was “going crazy” in the Goldie’s parking lot on New Haven Road (Route 67) and was hitting his own car, driving erratically and taking his shirt off. An officer sent to the scene said there were no issues.
