William A. Rotko, age 68, entered eternal rest on October 23, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the loving and devoted husband of Odalys “Dolly” (Hernandez) Rotko.

Born in Derby, CT, on April 18, 1957, he was the son of Antoinette (Adamo) Rotko of Ansonia and the late William Rotko. Bill was raised in Ansonia before moving to Orange, where he resided for forty-one years.

A 1975 graduate of Ansonia High School, Bill began his career at American Brass and later joined Sikorsky Aircraft, where he worked as a Materials Planning Analyst for 32 years. Bill proudly retired in 2016 at the age of 59½ to focus on leisure and quality family time.

One of Bill’s proudest accomplishments was running in the New York City Marathon in 1998. He cherished time spent at his second home in Fort Myers, Florida, where he enjoyed family time, fishing on the Fort Myers Pier and Sanibel Causeway, boating, and relaxing with a drink in hand. When he was not in Florida, Bill loved entertaining in his backyard in Orange, where he built an outdoor kitchen and bar he proudly called “Bill’s Time Out.”

Last year, Bill and Dolly treated their family to a European cruise through Italy, Turkey, and Greece, creating memories to last a lifetime. He was an avid fan of UCONN basketball and football and was thrilled to attend UCONN’s first NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship in St Petersburg, Florida, in 1999, cheering them on to victory. Bill was also a devoted fan of Jimmy Buffett and loved listening to his music.

Hilliard (Kevin) of Woodbridge; his sister, Grace Ann Rotko of Ansonia; and his beloved granddaughters, Taylor, Tessa, and Emerson “Emmy” Hilliard.
