SEYMOUR – Here are some highlights from the Seymour Police Department’s calls for service from Oct. 27, 2025 through Nov. 2, 2025.

Seymour police received 253 calls for service and made nine arrests between Oct. 27, 2025 and Nov. 2, 2025.

OCT. 27, 2025

10:12 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a minor, two-car motor vehicle accident on Bank Street.

4:07 p.m. A caller told police someone in a white Ford Ranger pick-up truck was driving at a high rate of speed and passing multiple vehicles on Holbrook Road. The driver pulled into a gas station where an officer spoke with him.

4:20 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a minor motor vehicle accident in the Klarides Village parking lot on Bank Street.

7:56 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a one-car motor vehicle accident where a car hit a deer on South Main Street.

OCT. 28, 2025

6:10 a.m. A caller told police a male was jumping in and out of traffic along Roosevelt Drive. An employee from the nearby Dunkin Donuts reported the same male was inside the store acting “weird.” The man left the store without incident, prior to police arrival.

8:30 a.m. Police charged a 23-year-old Ansonia man with traveling unreasonably fast, reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, failure to drive in the proper lane, improper muffler and violation of window tint requirements.

8:41 a.m. A caller told police a tractor-trailer truck was stuck on the South Main Street side of the bridge, trying to back out from the bridge at Maple and South Main streets.

12:48 p.m. Police were called about a carpet in the road near the trestle at Maple and South Main street, causing a hazardous condition.

4:55 p.m. Police set up radar enforcement on Roosevelt Drive and made one motor vehicle stop.

6:10 p.m. Police issued an infraction to a driver on Cedar Street.

OCT. 29, 2025  

7:12 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a two-car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of  West Church and West streets.

9:25 a.m. A Davis Road resident told police someone stole the political lawn signs from her property.

2:32 p.m. A caller told police someone in a tan Chevy S-10 pickup truck was driving erratically and doing donuts in the road near MacConnie Court and Tomlinson Road. The caller said she  was concerned because of children living in the area. Police said the truck was gone upon their arrival.

3:58 p.m. Police issued an infraction to a driver on River Street.

6:24 p.m. Ansonia Police requested assistance from Seymour’s canine unit for a motor vehicle stop.

11:52 p.m. Police were called to a medical emergency at a residence on Oak Hill Road.  

OCT. 30, 2025

4:03 a.m. Police were sent to the McDonald’s on Bank Street for a report of an alarm at the rear door going off. An employee was on the scene and there were no issues.

7:17 a.m. Police assisted a driver whose car had become disabled on Roosevelt Drive.

9:59 a.m. A 911 caller told police that while she was driving by Dunkin Donuts on Roosevelt Drive, a man wearing a black hoodie was pointing what appeared to be a gun at her. An officer checked the area and was unable to locate anyone matching the description. Oxford police also checked the area and spoke with a man wearing a grey sweatshirt, but he had no weapon.

6:14 p.m. Police were called to a medical emergency at a residence on Walnut Street.

7:51 p.m. A caller told police individuals inside a blue van parked on Spruce Street with California plates were urinating outside and smoking crack “non-stop.” An officer said there were no signs of drug use and the individuals denied urinating outside.

OCT. 31, 2025

6:45 a.m. Police received multiple 911 calls about a rollover crash near Rimmon and Clinton roads.

7:14 a.m. Police charged a 19-year-old Ansonia man with evading responsibility – injury/property damage, operating a motor vehicle without a license, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, illegal sale/purchase of large capacity magazine and criminal possession of a firearm, ammunition or an electronic defense weapon.

12:27 p.m. A caller told police a downed tree was blocking the road on Great Hill Road.

3:39 p.m. Police conducted traffic control at the intersection of Maple Street and Warren Drive.

3:49 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Maple Street.

5:10 p.m. A caller told police a downed tree was blocking the road on Jacko Drive.

NOV. 1, 2025

12:01 a.m. A Bungay Road resident told police a utility pole snapped in half, leaving wires and a transformer on the ground. Police blocked the road and contacted Frontier and Eversource for repairs.

2:55 a.m. Police charged a 26-year-old Seymour man with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

12:07 p.m. Police issued an infraction to a driver on Bank Street.

4:23 p.m. Police issued an infraction to a driver on Franklin Street.

6:51 p.m. A Walnut Street resident told police he allowed two people to stay in his apartment for the night and they wouldn’t leave the next day. An officer said the parties left and were waiting for an Uber.

8:30 p.m. A Falbo Drive resident told police a small dog had been barking at a home in the neighborhood for a long period of time. An officer checked on the dog and said it was in good health and there were no issues. The officer contacted the dog’s owner who said she was enroute back home from Derby.

NOV. 2, 2025

12:35 a.m. Police issued a verbal warning to a driver on Pearl Street.

1:14 a.m. Police issued an infraction to a driver on West Church Street.

5 a.m. Police charged a 25-year-old Meriden man with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault.

5 a.m. Police charged a 27-year-old Meriden man with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault.

8:40 a.m. An employee of Henny Penny convenience store/gas station told police a female stole a cell phone charger and possibly a sandwich from the store.  

12:48 p.m. A Deer Run Drive resident told police someone egged and damaged her vehicle.

4:53 p.m. Police charged an 18-year-old Oxford woman with illegally operating a motor vehicle under suspension under the influence of alcohol and traveling unreasonably fast.

8:50 p.m. Police charged a 28-year-old Wolcott man with violation of probation and second-degree harassment.
