SEYMOUR — Police are looking for a driver of a white pickup truck who struck a teen while she was walking on Bungay Road Sunday (Dec. 21).

The hit-and-run happened at about 6:29 p.m. in the area of 127 Bungay Road, according to a Facebook post from Seymour police.

The pickup truck’s passenger-side mirror struck the 18-year-old victim as she walked in the area of 127 Bungay Road.

She sustained facial injuries and was being treated at Bridgeport Hospital as of 9:42 p.m. Sunday. Police said she is expected to recover.

The vehicle was described as gray or white. The make and model is unknown. Police said the vehicle may have damage to the passenger-side mirror. Remnants of the mirror were recovered at the scene.

“A witness reported the truck traveling from Bungay Road to Canfield Road, then onto Botsford Road, before accelerating and continuing onto Mountain Road. No license plate or driver description is available at this time,” according to police.
