Craig Allen Maffeo, age 70, of Beacon Falls, entered into eternal rest on December 18, 2025 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport, Ct.
Born in New Haven, Ct., on October 24, 1955, the son of Timothy Schildge and the late Elinor Louise Schildge who passed away in 2011. Craig was raised in Killingworth, CT. He graduated from Vinyl Tech Vocational Regional School, Class of 1973.
He started his career out as a carpenter and then worked for many years as a printer at Northeast Graphics in North Haven, CT. Craig very much enjoyed the outdoors he would often walk for miles a day, he was well known in town for always being out on a walk. He had an appreciation for cars, enjoyed going to car shows, eating out, being around animals and especially spending time with his loved ones. Craig will be sadly missed by all but will forever remain in our hearts.
Craig’s family sends a thank you to all who helped make Craig’s transition as comfortable and pain free as possible.
In addition to his father Timothy, he is survived by his devoted family son Eric Allen Maffeo, his two daughters Christie Lynn Maffeo and Kimberlee Helen Maffeo (Timothy Depierro, Kim’s partner), his brother Robert Maffeo of Altamonte, FL., his two sisters Tammy Louise Schildge Pereira and her husband Mario Pereira and Judy Cruz and her husband Willie Cruz, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Craig was predeceased by his beloved wife and soulmate Sara (Semplenski) Maffeo in 2009 and his sister Kim Maffeo in 2014.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Michael R.C. Church 25 Maple Ave., Beacon Falls, CT 06403, at the family’s discretion.
