Frank Santoro, age 70, of Seymour, entered into rest on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Yale New Haven Hospital. He is the beloved husband of 47 years of Marianne (Keating) Santoro. Frank was born in Bridgeport on June 4, 1955, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Gillick) Santoro.

He graduated from Johnson & Wales School of Culinary Arts and worked as a chef for many years before joining Sikorsky Aircraft where he retired as an Air Frame Mechanic after 38 years of service. He was a member of Teamsters Local 1150.

Frank enjoyed skiing and golfing, and he especially loved to golf with his grandson & son in law. He always looked forward to his annual ski & golf trips with friends. Frank was also a diehard Yankees & Giants fan. He enjoyed cooking during the holidays and everyone looked forward to his famous clams casino and Thanksgiving stuffing.

He loved his music, classic rock and Motown. Frank lived a simple life spending time with his family. He enjoyed being outside and often could be found sitting on his truck tailgate just enjoying the view. He loved his time with his cherished dog Murphy.

He is the proud father of Kristen Preato (John) and Larissa Santoro (Ash) and devoted grandfather of Layla and Jagger Preato. He is also survived by two brothers, Joseph Santoro Jr. (Susan) and John Santoro (Maureen), his close cousin, John Gillick (Cheryl), and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM. On Friday, his procession will leave the parlor at 10:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Church of the Good Shepherd, St. Nicholas Parish, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour.
