Jane Blaze, a 92 year old longtime Seymour resident recently of Shelton, and wife of the late Frank Blaze, passed away Jan. 26. She was born March 24, 1933 in Derby, daughter of the late Edgar and Veronica Adams Brooks. Jane worked as a banker for the former Ansonia Savings Bank. She was a long-time active member of The Great Hill United Methodist Church in Seymour. She was also active with The Seymour Historical Society.
She leaves her two sons David Blaze (Roxanne) of Granville MA. and Philip Blaze (Sophia) of Cheshire, CT., daughter Elaine Blaze of Beacon Falls, her brother Robert Brooks of Orange, five grandchildren Kaile, Kelsey, Christopher & Mia Blaze, and Lauren Lombardi, and three great grandchildren Niko & Elsie Wyrick, and Keeley Blaze. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers William & Edgar Brooks.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. Friends may call on Sunday, Feb. 1st from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
