Jesse W. Blake, age 92, entered eternal rest on January 29, 2026, at the Watermark at East Hill in Southbury. He was the beloved husband of sixty-eight and a half years to Ramona (Garcia) Blake.

Born in Oak Hill, West Virginia, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Poole) Blake. Jesse resided most of his life in Shelton before moving to Beacon Falls. He was employed at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford for thirty-eight years, retiring as foreman in the Presidential Helicopter Program. A proud veteran, he honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, earning the rank of Sergeant. Jesse was a member of the St. Sebastian Club in Ansonia. He was an avid golfer and a huge fan of UCONN women’s basketball.

In addition to his wife Ramona, Jesse leaves to cherish his memory, son, Charles J. Blake (Marisol) of Waterbury, daughters, Tina Marie Godkin of Beacon Falls and Angela Chernovetz (Joseph) of Oxford, grandchildren, Jessica Blake of New Mexico, Megan Davidson (Robert) of New Mexico, Donald Hotchkiss of Southbury, Nicholas Chernovetz of Oxford, and Chaz Blake (Amber) of Orange along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Russell, George, Samuel and Stewart Blake and sister, Ella Faile.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 9:00-11:00 am in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 11:00 am a prayer service in celebration of Jesse’s life will take place. Interment with United States Army military honors will immediately follow in Riverside Cemetery in Shelton.
