Monday, Feb. 9, 2026
1:00 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop near Division Street and North Division Street.
3:57 p.m. Police received a report of illegal parking on Main Street.
5:31 p.m. Police charged three people – a 57-year-old woman, a 26-year-old man, and a 25-year-old woman – with second-degree breach of peace on Eagle Street.
7:15 p.m. Police charged a 20-year-old Bridgeport man with illegally selling cannabis and misrepresenting a controlled substance.
10:38 p.m. Police received a wildlife complaint near Danielczyk Drive and Jewett Street.
Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026
7:12 a.m. Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Mott Street.
8:53 a.m. Police were called to Woodlawn Avenue for a report of an emotionally distressed person.
11:01 a.m. Police responded to a report of shoplifting on Main Street.
6:15 p.m. Police charged a 34-year-old Bridgeport woman with larceny of a motor vehicle, second-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny, second-degree forgery, and conspiracy to commit forgery.
11:14 p.m. Officers were called to Hubbell Avenue for a medical assist.
Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026
4:51 p.m. Police charged Elvin Agosto, a 28-year-old Ansonia man, with possession of child pornography. The Valley Indy has reached out to Ansonia police for more information.
7:04 p.m. Police charged a 34-year-old Bridgeport man with larceny of a motor vehicle, second-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny, second-degree forgery, and conspiracy to commit forgery. The Valley Indy reached out to Ansonia police to ask whether this arrest and a similar Tuesday arrest were related.
7:55 p.m. Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Main Street.
10:00 p.m. A caller reported suspicious activity on Main Street.

8:07 a.m. Police received a report of an abandoned motor vehicle near the middle school on Howard Avenue.
11:10 a.m. Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct on Root Avenue.
7:36 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop near Franklin Street and Wakelee Avenue.
10:09 p.m. Police charged a 24-year-old woman with failure to obey a stop sign, driving on a suspended license, and driving without minimum insurance.

11:52 a.m. Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident near the police station on Main Street.
2:50 p.m. A caller reported trespassing on East Main Street.
5:38 p.m. Police responded to a juvenile matter on Pork Hollow Road.
7:34 p.m. During a traffic stop, police charged Daniel Strmiska, 47, with driving under the influence and disobeying traffic signals.
10:46 p.m. Police received a report of illegal parking on East Street.
Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026
1:04 a.m. Police charged a Ted Smith, 43, of New Haven, with driving under the influence, failure to drive on the right, driving without a license, and disobeying traffic signals on Main Street.
9:07 p.m. Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Elm Street.
9:54 p.m. Police charged Angel Sosa, 44, with driving under the influence, failing to slow down for an emergency vehicle, evading responsibility in an accident, and carrying a firearm while under the influence.
Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026
10:00 a.m. Police charged a 31-year-old Derby man on Grove Street with first-degree trespassing, second-degree breach of peace, disorderly conduct, and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.
11:45 a.m. Police charged a 46-year-old woman with disorderly conduct at her home on Upland Terrace.
3:54 p.m. Officers carried out a search warrant on Rockwood Avenue.
3:58 p.m. Police received a wildlife complaint from North Prospect Street Extension.
