Bridgeport, CT – The WorkPlace is officially accepting applications for its 2026 Summer Youth Employment Program. This initiative connects young adults (ages 14-24) with six-week paid work experiences, offering a direct path to workforce readiness and financial independence.
The deadline to apply is April 3, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
For Youth Participants
Eligible youth living in the 20-town region—including Bridgeport, Norwalk, Stamford, and surrounding areas—are encouraged to apply.
- The Deal: Work 20 hours per week at minimum wage for up to seven weeks.
- The Experience: Participants receive work-readiness training before starting at a worksite to ensure they hit the ground running.

For Local Businesses & Agencies
The WorkPlace is also actively recruiting employer worksites. This is a unique opportunity for businesses to mentor the next generation of talent at no cost to the employer.

The program serves youth in: Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Bridgeport, Darien, Derby, Easton, Fairfield, Greenwich, Monroe, New Canaan, Norwalk, Oxford, Seymour, Shelton, Stamford, Stratford, Trumbull, Weston, Westport, and Wilton. Applicants must interview with staff and provide eligibility documentation.
