Margaret Frances Bizewski, age 77 of Oxford, died peacefully on February 24, 2026 at Griffin Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in New Haven on May 5, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Margaret F. Remington Haas.
Ms. Bizewski was raised in Branford and was a graduate of Branford High School. Through the years she was employed with different companies and held various positions including
General Electric of Bridgeport, Jennie’s Restaurant of Bridgeport, Finest Supermarket of Bridgeport, Home Depot of Fairfield and Derby and her last position was a deli clerk at Stop & Shop of Seymour. Ms. Bizewski also stayed busy as a self-employed housekeeper. She was an avid gardener and often shared her fresh vegetables with friends and family.
In 2019, Ms. Bizewski fought a brave battle with breast cancer and emerged victorious. In her later years, she enjoyed trolling the Goodwill store for bargains, playing scratch off lottery tickets, taking memorable trips to the casinos and watching old TV shows of I Love Lucy and Betty Boop.
Ms. Bizewski is survived by her devoted sons, Robert (Lita May) Bizewski of Oxford, Donald (Melissa) Bizewski of NC, and Shawn Bizewski of Beacon Falls; a sister, Deborah Cornell of IN; cherished Grandchildren, Robert (Jenna) Bizewski, Jr., Corey (Vanessa Capanelli) and Krysta (Jordan Maida) Bizewski; Amanda, Brooke (Will Franklin) and Nicholas (Jackie Beth) Bizewski; cherished great-grandchildren, Piper, Aydin and Dani
Bizewski; Nakoa and Charlotte Bizewski; Arya and Azlynn Bizewski, as well as her childhood best friend, Shannon Henninger of Branford; and former daughter-in-laws, Tammy Bizewski and Michele Bedard.
She was pre-deceased by her loving companion, Martin R. Diaz, Jr., a sister, Shelley Wilson and her former spouse, Eugene J. Bizewski, Jr.
