David E. DiMauro, age 57, unexpectedly entered eternal rest on February 27, 2026, at his home in Ansonia.
Born in Derby on July 30, 1968, he was the beloved son of Richard S. DiMauro Sr. and his wife Joy of Oxford and Wanda R. (Laskowski) Kristof and her husband Thomas of Seymour. David was a graduate of Shelton High School before moving to Ansonia where he resided for most of his life. He was employed as a master carpenter for Pelham Homes LLC in Ridgefield. He truly enjoyed his work and his meticulous craftmanship will remain in many homes, including his parents, and be enjoyed forever. David loved spending quality time with friends and family. He especially enjoyed playing cards and other fun games. David was an avid fan of the New York Mets and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In addition to his parents, Richard and Wanda, David leaves to cherish his memory, brothers, Richard S. DiMauro Jr. of Ansonia and Robert DiMauro and his wife Regina, currently serving in the United States Air Force in Hawaii, sister, Nicole Messner of Oxford, nephew, Liam Messner, niece, Payton Messner and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Saturday, March 7, 2026, starting at 11:00 am at Seymour Evangelical Baptist Church, 104 Mountain Road in Seymour. A funeral service and celebration of David’s life will immediately follow with Pastor David W. Greer officiating. All are welcome in the church hall for a repast at the conclusion of the service.
