Harold “Harry” Feigenblat, age 88, beloved husband of Audrey J. Artman Feigenblat of Shelton, died peacefully on March 6, 2026 at Griffin Hospital with his family by his side.
Born in Bridgeport on March 3, 1938, he was the son of the late Louis and Ruth Gross Feigenblat. Mr. Feigenblat was raised in Bridgeport and was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran serving from 1958-1960. Following his military service, Mr. Feigenblat worked as a skilled sheet metal fabricator for the former AVCO Lycoming Co. for 16 years, followed by Sikorsky where he was employed for 43 years, until the time of his retirement in 2018.
He simultaneously worked as an independent carpentry contractor, well known for his meticulous craftsmanship and trim work. Mr. Feigenblat was an avid puzzler, a handy crafter – known for his metal work and miniature bottle collection, the life of any party- always ready with a joke whose fun-loving personality endeared him to many.
Together with his wife and family, he enjoyed many cruises, dancing, music (especially hard rock) and countless camping excursions. An amateur “foodie”, Mr. Feigenblat enjoyed preparing holiday feasts and epic holiday family gatherings. He will be long remembered for his love and devotion for his family and their pets.
In addition to his wife of 62 years, he is survived by his devoted children, Gary Feigenblat and his wife, Mary of Shelton, Glenn Feigenblat and his wife, Tricia of FL and Lillian Trembley and her husband, Scott of Ansonia; a sister, Evelyn Levy of NY; cherished grandchildren, Matthew Feigenblat and his wife, Natalie of MA, Maryssa Riley and her husband, Doug of Bethany, Aubrey Marrero and her husband, Edwin of MA, Alannah Feigenblat of Manchester, Madison Feigenblat of Shelton, Jillian Feigenblat of FL, River Trembley of Southington and Colby Trembley of WI; cherished great-grandchildren, Raelynn Riley, Jaxson Riley, Mariela Feigenblat, Emic Marrero, Amelia Marrero and Anessa Marrero ; as well as his adoring sister-in-law Darleen Lee of Derby and her sons Tony Lee Jr. of Oxford and Christopher Lee of Glastonbury in addition to other in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton.
