SEYMOUR – Here are some highlights from the Seymour Police Department’s calls for service from March 2, 2026 through March 8, 2026.

Seymour police received 202 calls for service and made six arrests.

MARCH 2, 2026

6:23 a.m. Police were called to Pub 67 on West Street for an alarm sounding at the front door. Police said the building was secure and there were no issues.

9:41 a.m. Police received a 911 hang up call from Seymour High School. The school security director confirmed that he accidentally dialed 911 and there were no issues.  

12:15 p.m. A caller told police someone in a black Acura sedan was driving erratically near Maple and Pearl streets. Police said the vehicle was gone upon their arrival.

1:41 p.m. Police issued a ticket to someone parked in a fire lane on Franklin Street.

4:32 p.m. Police were called to a residence on Rocky Glen Street for a report of a possible structure fire. Police said there was no fire, only minor smoke, from burnt food.

MARCH 3, 2026

7:38 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Maple Street.

9:46 a.m. Police were called to a residence on George Street for a verbal dispute.

11:42 a.m. A French Street resident told police one of her license plates was stolen.

4:38 p.m. Police charged a 37-year-old Seymour man with violation of a criminal protective order.

6:27 p.m. Police were called to a residence on Chestnut Street for a medical emergency.

MARCH 4, 2026  

9:34 a.m. A Derby Avenue business owner said his business was broken into overnight.

1:28 p.m. Police charged a 37-year-old Seymour man with disorderly conduct and second-degree threatening.

5:22 p.m. Police charged John Sullivan, 42, of Seymour, with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, failure to have seatbelts in motor vehicle, illegally operating a motor vehicle under suspension, failure to drive in the proper lane, risk of injury to a child, second-degree reckless endangerment, operating a motor vehicle with a child under 18 while driving under the influence, and carrying a firearm while under the influence.The arrest happened on Franklin Street, according to police records.

9 p.m. Police charged Shannon L. Hannon, 30, of Seymour, with illegally operating a motor under the influence of alcohol/drugs on Elm Street.

MARCH 5, 2026

7:44 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a two-car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of South Main and Maple streets.

11:57 a.m. A Jupiter Drive resident told police she believed someone broke into her house and stole money.

3:16 p.m. A Mountain Road resident told police a woman was standing in her driveway talking and yelling into her cell phone for 20 minutes.

4:39 p.m. Police received a walk-in complaint from a resident who believed he was being stalked.

7:18 p.m. A caller told police someone was changing their oil in a parking lot on First Street and was dumping the oil on the ground. Police said the individual was gone upon their arrival and they found no oil.

MARCH 6, 2026

9:48 a.m. Police issued an infraction to a driver on Derby Avenue.

2:30 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a hit and run motor vehicle accident on Roosevelt Drive.

4:28 p.m. A Manners Avenue resident told police someone was trespassing on their property.

5:57 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident at Pearl and Maple streets.

MARCH 7, 2026

12:32 a.m. A Balance Rock Road resident told police someone in the apartment complex was playing loud music and singing very loudly.

9:10 a.m. An Elm Street resident told police she was being harassed by a neighbor.

1:37 p.m. Police issued an infraction to a driver at Bank Street and Old Drive.

7:15 p.m. Police charged a 39-year-old Seymour man with disorderly conduct.

7:28 p.m. Police charged a 64-year-old Seymour man with disorderly conduct.

MARCH 8, 2026

10:39 a.m. Police conducted speed enforcement at Maple Street and Warren Drive.

1:03 p.m. A Peart Street resident told police an injured puppy walked into his driveway. Police notified the animal control officer.

10:26 p.m. Police assisted a disabled vehicle on West Street.
