Michael J. Ciocca, age 65, entered eternal rest on March 9, 2026, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. He was the loving husband and high school sweetheart of Karen (Lindell) Ciocca.

Born in Bridgeport on December 22, 1960, he was the beloved son of Jeannine (Noel) Ciocca of Middlebury and the late Americo Ciocca. Michael was raised in Trumbull and a graduate of Trumbull high School Class of 1980. He resided in Seymour for thirty years before moving to Ansonia in 2018. He was employed as a master baker and co-owner and operator of the former Eddy’s Bake Shop on Main Street in Ansonia for thirty years, until his retirement in 2017. He was also the owner of the former Family Bake Shop in Monroe and currently was employed as a specialty baker at Shop Rite in Milford. For Michael, the bakery was a community hub for people to gather, enjoy delicious sweet treats and make new friendships. Family was most important to Michael and he cherished all the times spent together. He especially loved family picnics and grilling. Michael enjoyed spending time at the beach at the Outer Banks in North Carolina and last year he traveled to Italy to explore the beautiful country. His hobbies included growing tomatoes in his garden and meticulously caring for his fig trees. He was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins.

In addition to his wife Karen, Michael leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Michael J. Ciocca Jr. of Naugatuck, daughters, Gabriella L. Ciocca (Vincent Carrera) of Naugatuck and Rachael A. Ciocca (Noah Butler) of Naugatuck, twin brother, Paul Ciocca (Jara) of Seymour, brother, Antonio Ciocca (Lori) of Middlebury, sisters, Lisa Pettine of Derby, Gina Hughes (Tom) of Estero, FL, and Tina Wills (William) of Naugatuck, canine buddy, Rocky and grand-pups, Paisley and Apollo, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
