Donald M. DeParle, age 88, of Shelton entered into rest on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side.
He was the devoted husband of 37 years but married 29 to Cindy (Memoli) DeParle. Donald was born in Stratford on July 5, 1937, son of the late Joseph and Sylvia (Sacher) DeParle.
He owned and operated DeParle Electrical for over 40 years. After closing his business, he was employed at Wade’s Dairy, Inc. until his retirement.
Donald was the beloved father of Donna Steller and her husband Stu, Venus Coyle and her husband Kevin, Chrissy DeParle and Kim DeParle, and brother of Richie DeParle and his wife Judy, Myrna Kalakay and her husband Walter, the late Jimmy DeParle and the late Lois Wallack. Donald was survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren only to name a few Jasmine Gambardella, Kaitlynn Rios, Brie Rios and the late Donn Kovac. He was also survived by his nephews Wally Kalakay and Brent Kalakay.
On Wednesday, friends may call from 10:30 – 12:00 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. His funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM at the parlor. His burial will follow at Mt. Grove Cemetery, Easton.
