ANSONIA – Officers were on the scene at a house in the 70s block of Garden Street to help another law enforcement agency in an ongoing investigation Thursday (April 9).

Update: read about the raid here.

Ansonia Police Lt. Patrick Lynch said the investigation was to aid another state law enforcement agency.

“As this is an ongoing criminal investigation we will not be releasing any information regarding the other agency or nature of the investigation so as not to compromise their investigation,” Lynch wrote in a statement.

No federal agencies were involved in the investigation, Lynch said in response to a question from The Valley Indy.

Ansonia police put a statement on social media around 1:18 p.m. stating their presence on Garden Street. At around 2:20 p.m., a Valley Indy reporter saw around four officers on the scene.

Officers led one person out of the house around 2:25 p.m.

Police then left the scene by about 2:30 p.m.
