ANSONIA-DERBY — State Rep. Kara Rochelle, Ansonia Mayor Frank Tyszka, and Derby Mayor Joseph DiMartino are encouraging Ansonia and Derby youth and young adults to sign up for the Summer Employment Program.
The Connecticut Youth Summer Employment Program, funded by the state offered through The WorkPlace, is an opportunity for teens and young adults to gain work experience with local businesses, non-profits, and municipalities.
The Connecticut Youth Summer Program provides paid job opportunities and hands-on work experience in positions at nonprofits, local businesses, and local municipalities. Participants can expect to work up to 20 hours per week, earn minimum wage, and receive valuable training and work experiences. This program is open to young residents ages 14 to 24.
