Ann Marie (Sicignano) Gazsi, age 89, peacefully entered eternal rest on April 10, 2026, in her home in Riverview, Florida, with her loving family by her bedside. She was the beloved wife of David A. Marcoux.
AnnMarie was born in Derby, CT on June 21, 1936, daughter of the late Carmen and Lucretia “Mary” (Basile) Sicignano. She grew up in Ansonia and resided in Oxford for many years, before moving to Florida. AnnMarie was a woman of great unwavering faith and had a willingness to always learn more of Jesus’s teachings. She loved to cook and continually tried new recipes that she enjoyed sharing with others. Spending time with her family and friends was most important to her. She loved to talk and you always had “good conversation.”
In addition to her husband, David, she leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Dr. Michael Gazsi, N.D. (Angeline) of Riverview, FL, Andrew Gazsi (Gina) of Oxford, CT, Christopher Gazsi (Susan) of Naugatuck, CT, Vitaly Gazsi of Seymour, CT, and Ruslan Gazsi (Rose) of Oxford, CT, a daughter, Olya Gazsi of Newtown, CT, step-daughter, Rebecca Marcoux of Maine, grandchildren, Jessica Petzing (Seth), Jonathan Gazsi (Kasia), Joseph Gazsi, Nicholas Gazsi, Anthony Gazsi, Anna Gazsi, Rebekah Gazsi, Benjamin Gazsi, Daniel Gazsi, Matthew Gazsi, and Timothy Gazsi, great-grandchildren, Maverick, Roman, and Scarlett Petzing, brother, Gary Sicignano of Bethany, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Sicignano.
Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 10:00 am by meeting directly at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel, 15 Pepper Street, Monroe, CT for a Requiem Mass.
