THE VALLEY — Around 60 Valley-based nonprofits have signed up to participate in this year’s Great Give, from May 6 – 7.
The Great Give, kickstarted by the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven in 2010, is a 36-hour give-a-thon held each May which encourages donors to help area nonprofits survive and thrive.
The Great Give includes various prizes and fund match incentives which help your dollar go further when you donate.
Last year, the Great Give raised more than $4.2 million, including $466,000 for nonprofits serving Ansonia, Derby, Oxford, Seymour, and Shelton — a record number for the Valley.
