ANSONIA – Police arrested a man after neighbors reported he was breaking into parked vehicles on Wesley Street.
Renell Campbell, 28, of Bridgeport, was charged July 25 with four counts of third-degree burglary and two counts of sixth-degree larceny.
According to police, officers received reports of a person entering parked vehicles and a garage at around 9 p.m. Saturday (July 25).
A responding officer saw a person matching the suspect’s description allegedly entering a nearby home on Holbrook Street. Officers then surrounded and entered the home, where they allegedly found Campbell hiding in a closet.
Police also recovered items near Campbell which they said were personal belongings stolen from the nearby vehicles.
Campbell posted a $25,000 bond and is due to be arraigned at Superior Court in Derby Aug. 7.
