David G. “Croc” Lynes, 86, of Seymour, CT passed away at home on July 22, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 26, 1940 in Southington, foster son of the late John and Evelyn Radovich. In addition to his foster parents, he was predeceased by his siblings James & Sandra Lynes, Gladys Cantito and Roger Cowles. He leaves behind his beloved wife Barbara of 57 years. He is also survived by his son Eric Lynes and his wife Lauren Heltke of Wallingford, his daughter Kristen and her husband Robert Kalish, and Grandchildren Reagan and Colton Kalish. He also leaves behind his foster brothers John, Raymond, Robert, and David Radovich, their wives, and many nieces and nephews.
David was an Air Force Veteran and Propane Service Technician for Suburban Propane for over 35 years until his retirement. David will be remembered as a gentle, kind-hearted man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a lifelong passion for classic cars especially Corvettes and Mustangs, and took great pride in admiring and talking about them. More than anything he cherished the time he spent with his family. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 5th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. A prayer service will start at 7:00 p.m. Burial in Oak Cliff Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family.
