Sarah Jane Beardsley, age 58, of Derby, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Sarah was born in Bridgeport on October 4, 1967, daughter of the late Thomas Greer and Joyce Elaine (LaBaire) Beardsley, and lived in the Valley for most of her life.
She started her career at Prudential Life Insurance and continues as an IT Manager for Yale University for over 7 years.
Sarah is the beloved mother of James Medina (Jacquelyn) and Ann Medina (Adam Bryant) and cherished grandmother of Benedetto Bryan and Sophie Medina. She is also survived by her sister, Lauri Krzan, nephews Matt Krzan (Leslie), Mark Krzan, Thomas Beardsley III (Silviya), niece Theodora Beardsley, great nephews Neil Kryzan, Cameryn Beardsley, and Gage Sparks, and great-niece Ava Krzan. Sarah was predeceased by three siblings, Thomas Greer Beardsley Jr., Bernadine Medina, and Benedetto Beardsley.
Friends are invited to her Memorial Service on Saturday, September 5th, 2026 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, 212 Elizabeth Street in Derby.
