Call it Superstorm Sandy hangover.
Traffic lights at major intersections throughout the Valley weren’t functioning as of 1:35 p.m. Tuesday.
Emergency officials repeatedly warned drivers to treat the dark lights as stop signs — advice not heeded by many drivers in Derby and Shelton Tuesday.
Driving in the Huntington section of Shelton was especially difficult Tuesday.
The traffic lights also caused extensive back-ups on Route 34 in Derby.
