John P. “Jack” Donahue, age 69, peacefully entered eternal rest on December 1, 2025, in Pennsylvania.
Born in Lake Forest, IL on June 14, 1956, he was the son of the late John J. “Jack” Donahue and Margaret (Owen) Donahue. Jack grew up in Derby and graduated from Derby High School in 1974.
He attended Providence College in Rhode Island and was in the Friars Club. Jack was a natural salesman and had a way of charming people. He started his sales career in Chicago working for the Pat Carroll Company, which represented Flexsteel Industries, Inc. Jack transferred to Lancaster where he continued his career in sales. Jack loved the ocean, especially the coast of New England. J
ack was extremely proud of his Irish heritage and never missed celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. His hobbies included deep sea fishing, reading the New York Times, and the biographies of Mickey Mantle and John F. Kennedy. Jack was a loyal New York Yankees fan, especially his favorite Mickey Mantle, #7. Bruce Springsteen’s music was his favorite.
Jack loved his family, especially his two grandchildren, Gabriella and Marc. Jack leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Kelly Rose (Donahue) Abramson, (Glen) of West Chester, PA, daughter, Julia Donahue, brother, Dennis J. Donahue of Derby, grandchildren, Marc Antonio Abramson and Gabriella Rose Abramson and nephew, Evan Donahue, (Paige), of Milford, and sister-in-law, Karen Donahue of Gilbert, SC.
He was predeceased by brother, Robert M. Donahue, nephew, Collin J. Donahue, and brother, Richard James “Dickie” Donahue.
