SEYMOUR – Here are some highlights from the Seymour Police Department’s calls for service from Dec. 15, 2025 through Dec. 22, 2025.

It is a partial list of calls picked by The Valley Indy. The goal is to give the public a head’s up on what’s happening in the community.

Note: generally, this publication does not post the names of people charged with misdemeanors, the names of victims, or numbered residential addresses. If we publish a suspect’s name, we track the case.

Seymour police received 248 calls for service and made 12 arrests.

DEC. 15, 2025

1:55 a.m. A caller told police a white pickup truck was speeding up and down the road on April Gardens Road and Daisy Drive and was keeping him awake. Police said the truck was gone upon their arrival.

2:23 a.m. Police charged a 26-year-old Milford man with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

8:20 a.m. Police conducted stop sign enforcement at Pearl and Pond streets.

DEC. 16, 2025

9:06 a.m. A caller told police she was being harassed via text messages from her ex-boyfriend.

9:38 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Pine Street.

DEC. 17, 2025  

6:53 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a one-car motor vehicle accident on New Haven Road (Route 67). No injuries were reported.

8:19 a.m. A Hill Street resident told police the rear window of his car appeared to have been shot and damaged.

9:48 a.m. Police conducted radar enforcement on Roosevelt Drive.

10:33 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Bank Street and Old Drive.

4:12 p.m. A caller told police a suspicious person was walking on the Bank Street bridge. Police said the person was gone upon their arrival.

5:32 p.m. A caller told police a dog was roaming around on Bank Street. Police said the dog was gone upon their arrival.

DEC. 18, 2025

1:55 p.m. Police were called to a medical emergency at a residence on Maple Street.

4:30 p.m. Police received a walk-in complaint from a resident who said they were receiving threatening messages.

7:40 p.m. Police charged a 41-year-old Seymour man with second-degree larceny and making a false statement.

8:10 p.m. A resident told police her co-worker egged her vehicle while parked at her residence.

DEC. 19, 2025

7:34 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Wakeley Street Ext.

9:50 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Roosevelt Drive.

10:37 a.m. A caller reported there were trees down and blocking the road on Rimmon Road.

10:43 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Squantuck Road.

5:30 p.m. Police charged a 42-year-old Seymour man with disorderly conduct and threatening.

DEC. 20, 2025

9:17 a.m. A Chucta Road resident requested assistance from police to retrieve a bag that his wife locked in the bedroom.            

2:52 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on West Street.

5:49 p.m. Police issued an infraction to a driver on Derby Avenue.

DEC. 21, 2025

12:35 a.m. Police charged a 55-year-old Ansonia woman with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs and having improper number of headlights.

1:46 a.m. A Meadow Street resident told police two men were attempting to steal cars on the street.

9:06 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Old Ansonia Road.

1:10 p.m. A caller told police someone stole a cart full of Monster energy drinks from Stop & Shop on Franklin Street.

DEC. 22. 2025

12:52 a.m. Police were called for a medical emergency at a residence on Nickelmine Drive.

5:50 a.m. Police received a 911 hang-up but determined it accidental due to a child playing with the phone.

7:08 a.m. Police received a 911 hang-up call but determined it was a misdial.
