Brian Hinman, age 60, of Shelton, entered into rest on December 24, 2025 in his home. He was born in Derby on Nov. 8, 1965, son of Robert N. and Elaine (Smith) Hinman and was a resident of Shelton for most of his life. Brian was a skilled tradesman and sheet metal worker for many years. He loved to spend time outdoors and helping people. He was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants Fan.
He is survived by his wife Lenora (Capite) Hinman, two sons Zachary Hinman (Gabriella Ramos) and Brian Hinman, Jr., one granddaughter Amelia Hinman, one sister Jodi Ann Ray (Joey), nieces and nephews, Hannah LaFreniere, Gabrielle (Gigi) LaFreniere, Mason Ray, Mitchell Ray, Merritt Ray, Kylie Szabo (Trevor), and Kaitlyn Hinman. He is the dear nephew of Ruth (Missy) Carey and cousin to Heather Jones. Brian was predeceased by his brother Rob Hinman.
Friends and Family of Lenora may greet Lenora and her family on Dec, 30, 2025 from 12 to 2 pm. Friends of the Hinman family may greet them on Tuesday Dec. 30, 2025 from 4 to 6 pm at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton. His funeral service and burial will be private.
