Anthony J. “Tony” Fama, age 72, of Derby, entered eternal rest on January 16, 2026, at Shady Knoll Health Care Center in Seymour. He was the beloved husband of twenty-one years to Geraldine (Celone) Fama.

Tony was born in Derby on September 2, 1953, son of the late Joseph and Anita (Yvars) Fama. He grew up in Shelton, graduated from Shelton High School and resided in Derby since 2004. Tony was employed as a truck driver for Beard Concrete in Milford for eighteen years and a member of Teamsters Local 443. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and nurtured his vegetable garden with love and care. His yard became a hummingbird haven thanks to his strategically placed feeders.

 In addition to his wife Geri, he leaves to cherish his memory, brothers-in-law, Ralph Celone (Lisa) of Thomaston and Stephen Celone (Carol) of Derby, sister-in-law, Kimberly Celone of Derby, nephews, Salvatore Celone and Joseph Celone and nieces, Veronica Celone, Alyssa Celone, and Nicole Celone, as well as many friends. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Mark Celone. The family sends a heart-felt thank you to nurses and staff of Shady Knoll Health Care Center for their years of excellent care and compassion for Tony.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
