Monday, May 11, 2026

6:03 a.m. — Police received a wildlife complaint from Francis Street.

11:22 a.m. — Police carried out a search warrant at an undisclosed location.

1:18 p.m. — An officer conducted a traffic stop on Elm Street.

4:43 p.m. — Officers charged a 45-year-old Ansonia man with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree threatening on Johnson Street.

5:12 p.m. — Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Wakelee Avenue.

8:59 p.m. — Officers attempted to stop a motor vehicle on Main Street.

6:05 a.m. — An officer conducted a traffic stop near Ford Street and Prindle Avenue.

9:09 a.m. — Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident near Fifth Street and North Main Street.

11:00 a.m. — Police charged a 34-year-old Ansonia man with three counts of failure to appear in court. The charges were processed at Superior Court in Derby.

12:45 p.m. — Police responded to a medical emergency on North State Street.

2:43 p.m. — Police were called for a report of trespassing on Main Street.

4:43 p.m. — Police were called to a shopping plaza on Main Street for a report of shoplifting.

10:54 a.m. — Police charged Erik Kycia, 39, of Ansonia, with driving under the influence, second-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving, failure to drive on the right, failure to obey a stop sign, traveling too fast for road conditions, and driving under suspension.
