ANSONIA — Chifrijos in Ansonia is collecting donations to benefit families affected by a recent earthquake in Colombia.

The dropoff point is at the restaurant’s location at 311 Main St. Donations of the following items will be accepted:

  • Baby formula (powder form only)
  • Band-Aids, rubbing alcohol, etc.
  • Diapers and baby wipes
  • Gloves and masks
  • Toothbrushes
  • Pet food

 COLOMBIA NEEDS OUR SUPPORT 

Chifrijos is joining together with our community to help families affected by the earthquake in Colombia. During difficult times like these, every act of kindness can make a difference.
We invite our friends, customers, and community to donate essential items at Chifrijos, 311 Main St, Ansonia, CT.
No donation is too small. Together, we can bring hope, relief, and support to those who need it most.

Colombia was struck by a 7.4 magnitude earthquake Monday (Aug. 10) which destroyed more than 10,000 homes. Responders in the country continue to look for hundreds of missing people as at least 280 people have been confirmed dead, according to reporting by Reuters.

Some of the harder-hit areas include the cities of Cali and Pereira.
