ANSONIA — The Derby Historical Society is scheduled to run a lantern tour Sept. 26 exploring local history at the time of the Revolutionary War.
The tour includes a lantern-lit walk through the old munitions trail and encounters with life stories from the era.
The tour is scheduled 7 p.m. Sept. 26, convening at the Ansonia Nature Center (10 Deerfield Lane). Tickets are $15 for Derby Historical Society members and $20 for non-members.

Join your tour guides “David Humphreys” and his mother “Lady Humphreys” on a Lantern Lit stroll of the old munitions trail, used to bring supplies between Derby and New Haven. On the way you will meet the folks who carried Derby through the Revolutionary War period and hear their stories about life leading up to 1776. This is a family friendly event. Please dress appropriately for weather and walking trails.
