SHELTON VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT INCIDENT RESPONSES

On 9/13/26 at 9:20 am the Pine Rock Park Co. #4, Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a structure fire at #7 Daybreak Lane. Upon arrival firefighters found a single- family two story-house partially engulfed in fire. After searching the house, threw hoarding conditions, for possible victims and finding none, firefighters had the fire under control within 30 minutes. The occupants had safely evacuated before firefighters arrived unbeknownst to firefighters. There were no injuries reported. Echo Ambulance stood-by while firefighters fought the fire. Stratford and Derby Fire Departments also responded or stood-by to cover Shelton. An investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire started in a second-floor bedroom and was caused by misuse of a jar candle, which ignited nearby combustibles. There were no working smoke detectors in the home.

On 9/13/26 at 12:14 pm the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to a public service call at #39 Narraganset Trail.
On 9/14/26 at 9:42 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Bridgeport Avenue at South Constitution Boulevard.
On 9/14/26 at 5:19 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to an activated fire alarm at #700 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire.
On 9/14/26 at 5:37 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a motor vehicle fire on route 8 north bound exits 9 and 11.
On 9/15/26 at 8:24 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a motor vehicle accident on route 8 south bound between exits 11 and 9.
On 9/15/26 at 2:57 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a motor vehicle fire on route 8 north bound exits 11 and 12A.
On 9/15/26 at 3:42 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to #145 Canal Street for an activated carbon monoxide alarm sounding.
On 9/16/26 at 2:14 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to an activated fire alarm at #187 Meadow Street. There was no fire.
On 9/16/26 at 6:42 am the White Hills Co. #5 responded to #79 Longfellow Road for an activated carbon monoxide alarm sounding.
On 9/16/26 at 11:26 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Coram Avenue at Hill Street.
On 9/16/26 at 1:10 pm the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to assist EMS at #121 Yutaka Trail.
On 9/16/26 at 2:12 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded to an open burning at #4 Woods Grove Road.
On 9/16/26 at 3:38 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to a fire alarm activated at #62 Sunset Drive. There was no fire.
On 9/16/26 at 5:05 pm the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a fire alarm activated at #55 Soundridge Drive. There was no fire.
On 9/16/26 at 5:34 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to an activated fire alarm at #185 Canal Street. There was no fire.
On 9/17/26 at :54 am the Huntington Co. #3 responded to assist EMS in a wooded area off Judson Street.
On 9/17/26 at 11:57 am the Huntington Co. #3 responded to an electrical hazard outside on Judson Street and Old kings Highway.
On 9/17/26 at 2:00 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to a fire alarm activated at #12 Sunset Drive. There was no fire.
On 9/17/26 at 3:16 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to public service, assist police, at #21 Pine Needle Drive.
On 9/18/26 at 1:08 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to a fire alarm activated at #309 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire.
On 9/18/26 at 7:55 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded to #56 Applewood Drive for a public service call.
On 9/18/26 at 9:05 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to Meadow Street near Lake Road for a public service call.
On 9/19/26 at 4:57 am the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a fire alarm activated at #757 Long Hill Avenue. There was no fire.
