THE VALLEY — The Rotary Club of Ansonia, Seymour & Oxford (AnSeOx) is teaming up with Liberty Bank to raise money and help food banks restock ahead of Thanksgiving.
Donations will benefit the Seymour-Oxford Food Bank, the Samela Pantry at Christ Church and the Salvation Army in Ansonia.

The AnSeOx Club has raised $600, according to club president Rich Knoll, out of a goal of $2,000. For every $20 raised locally, Liberty Bank will provide another $5.
The drive runs until Nov. 9.
Josh Fenton of the Ansonia Salvation Army and Mary Gotti of Christ Church said more families have approached them for help this year as supermarket prices rose. The approaching holiday will simply raise that demand for help.
