Ansonia EMTs Help Out Resident In ‘Unbearably’ Hot Apartment

Two Ansonia Rescue and Medical Services members recently went above the call of duty to help out a city resident during last week’s heat wave.

According to a July 8 Facebook post, ARMS EMT Krystle Bieber was on a call last week attending to a patient in an extremely hot second floor apartment for an unrelated medical issue.”

The woman’s air conditioner had broken and the heat was unbearable in the apartment,” the post read.

On Sunday, Bieber and her brother Billy, another ARMS member, delivered an air conditioner to the woman that they had at their home and wasn’t being used.

Billy installed the unit in the woman’s window for her and got the cool air flowing; she was so appreciative,” the post said. Just another example of the amazing and selfless people we have working here.”
