Ansonia Teams With CT Cult Classics For ‘TERROR AT THE DRIVE-IN’

ANSONIA — Caroline Williams, a legend in the horror world for her iconic performance in the truly insane movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Part 2,” will be appearing at Warsaw Park Oct. 10 to screen Ten Minutes To Midnight,” her latest flick (filmed in Connecticut, by the way).

It’s part of Terror At The Drive-In,” a joint effort of (Derby based) CT Cult Classics and the City of Ansonia.

Seriously, press play.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced the city to cancel many community events this year, including Rock the Valley,” a burgeoning music festival held last year at the Nolan Field athletic complex.

(Have you pressed play on the video yet?)

But Ansonia has been able to pull off a series of perfectly executed drive-in movie screenings at Warsaw Park. Since Aug. 22, there have been five sold-out family-friendly screenings on the city’s new 40-foot inflatable screen ($2,500! Cheap!).

In addition to Ten Minutes To Midnight,” the classic horror flick The Gate” will be screened Saturday, Oct. 17.

Both shows are sold out as of this writing, but Marini said some last-minute tickets could be made available.

Check the City of Ansonia Facebook page and CT Cult Classics for updates.

(I’m offended if you haven’t watched the video at this point)
