Every time you visit the Plumb Memorial Library you may notice many changes taking place. In addition to the renovations currently underway, new items are being added to the library.

The newest addition is a memorial bookcase honoring library volunteer, JoAnn Patters, who passed away last year.

JoAnn was a tireless library worker, who not only assisted with all the book sales in the library, but often attended library programs, and especially enjoyed helping out with the children’s programs. Joann’s support of the library and her willingness to do any task that was needed was balanced with her wit and humor.

A special scholarship has also been set up in her honor and has had its first recipient has been named. This is an annual scholarship offered by the Shelton Friends of the Library.
