In recent weeks, there have been reports of area residents being contacted by phone regarding the sales of home security systems, or other, from the City of Ansonia with sales person stating City representation and, in some cases, the phone numbers showing on caller ID a city public building.
Residents should note that the City of Ansonia is not soliciting security systems and are advised to disregard these calls as likely sales scams.
It is recommended to either ignore these calls, hang up, and most importantly, do not offer any personal information such as credit card or banking information.
