There was a terrible fire in Ansonia Friday night.
Two multi-family houses burned at the corner of Liberty and Fourth streets. No injuries were reported.

Missy Lundeen posted the following information on the Valley Independent Sentinel’s Facebook page Tuesday.
As you’ll read below, FIVE of the people displaced are under the age of 18.
Lundeen lives in Ansonia and she coordinates “Going the Extra Mile,” a grassroots group she started. They step in to help fire victims after the Red Cross allotments are given out. Lundeen is also a volunteer with the Red Cross.
She detailed the following list of things the families need. She did not list drop-off locations for the items, but said that information will be coming soon.
