The Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Road Race was sold out again this year. Early Thanksgiving morning about 1,000 people filled the Veteran’s Park in Shelton and ran through the historical downtown of Shelton and Derby.

This year’s race raised about $15,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley.

Jimmy Tickey, chair of the new race committee encouraged the runners and shot the starting pistol that launched the runners at the starting line.

Derby resident Ken Little took the title this year with a winning time of 16:00 (5:09 pace). Tim Milenkevich (Ansonia) came in second with a time of 16:02 (5:10 pace). Joseph Lombardi (Shelton) was third with a time of 17:01 (5:29 pace).

Disposable Bib Chip Technology was once again provided by Fast Track Timing, LLC, and race results are available by visiting the FastTrack Timing website for complete results and to search for individual runners.

There were no new course records set this year. Richard Stoliker established the men’s record in 2015 at 15:39 while the women’s record of 18:50 was set by Kristin Wenstrom back in 2003.

We would like to thank Greco & Haines, our flagship sponsor since 2002, who provided a quality race shirt to all the runners and Valley Community Foundation who helped to reduce youth registration costs and paid for senior’s registration fees.
