Man Struck By Train In Ansonia

A 43-year-old man was struck by a train on Division Street Monday evening.

EMS was called to the scene about 5:30 p.m.

Witnesses reported a man heading toward the tracks, then falling, according to Ansonia police.

The man suffered injuries to his head. A crew from Ansonia Rescue and Medical Services took the man to a trauma center in New Haven.

Train service on the Waterbury branch was at least an hour behind schedule Monday night as police investigated.
