Police: Shelton Man Wakes Up, Takes Shots At Loud Landscapers

Shelton PD

Jeffrey Pate

Police said a man with a pellet gun shot at landscapers who were too loud for his liking Thursday.

Jeffrey Pate is charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm, third-degree assault, second-degree reckless endangerment, and second-degree breach of peace.

Pate is due in court Oct. 3.

Landscapers were working Thursday on Tuckahoe Drive when they were fired upon. No major injuries were reported, and police didn’t say how many landscapers were hit. The incident was reported about 10 a.m.

The landscapers told police they saw a shirtless man with a rifle standing in front of a window at 41 Tuckahoe Drive.

Police said Pate was upset because the landscapers had woken him up.
