In this very special episode of “Navel Gazing: The Valley Indy Podcast,” Stephan Behuniak, Kurt Miller, David Papcin and Tarek Raslan give their takes on last week’s election results.
Behuniak is the chairman of Seymour’s Democratic Party. Raslan is the chairman of Ansonia’s Democratic Party. Papcin is the chairman of Ansonia Republican Party.
Miller, a Republican, is the First Selectman of Seymour. He just made his first run for statewide office, challenging big-name Democratic incumbent Kevin Lembo for comptroller unsuccessfully.
Miller talks about that race, and then gives his reasons as to why he thought Bob Stefanowski came up short in his gubernatorial race against Ned Lamont.
The Valley Indy asks the panel to react to comments made by readers on the Valley Indy Facebook page who perpetuated the stereotype that the “inner-city” is to blame for Stefanowski’s loss.
Finally, the group shares their thoughts on Rochelle-Jaumann, Cabrera-Logan, and . . . Seymour Charter Revision.
Behuniak attempts to learn why anyone would vote against fixing grammar mistakes in a town’s governing document.
