President Donald Trump said Saturday he was considering setting up some type of quarantine around the New York metropolitan area, including Connecticut. However, by the end of the day he changed his mind, The CT Mirror reports.

However, the CDC issued a travel advisory for the tri-state area Saturday night. It urges residents of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut to refrain from non-essential domestic travel for 14 days effective immediately.”

That means residents of Connecticut are being asked not to leave Connecticut for 14 days.

According to the CDC, the advisory does not apply to employees of critical infrastructure industries, including but not limited to trucking, public health professionals, financial services, and food supply.”

The CDC advisory gives the governors in Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York the full discretion to implement” the advisory.

The advisory doesn’t change much, if anything, since Connecticut’s governor has already been urging people on a daily basis to stay home, stay safe.” Gatherings of more than five people have been banned. Businesses categorized as nonessential have been closed. Local towns have closed parks, playgrounds, and public buildings. School is canceled until mid-April.

The Rhode Island National Guard sought out New Yorkers in Rhode Island, The Providence Journal reported.
